Tell us about you, your family, and your work (if applicable)

 I’ve been married to my husband Mike for 35 years and I’m a mom to Christian contemporary artist Francesca Battistelli. I have four beautiful grandchildren and love living in Franklin TN! I’m a writer and author and I just signed a contract for my newest book, The God Dare, which is now available.

Tell us your favorite charity and why it is your favorite charity.

My family and I have loved Mercy Ministries for years. They do such fabulous work and their heart for Jesus and for helping women in crisis is inspiring! Lives are being changed every single day because of the work they are doing. They have true servant hearts and are making a difference in countless lives.

How can the community help your charity? 

I want to see the community help Mercy even more! They are so deserving and changing lives and destinies every single day! I think more than anything, people simply need to know they are there, serving with humility and changing the world. 

What does beautiful mean to you?

Beautiful is what lies beneath. It’s the quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, one who serves without asking anything in return. True beauty is found in Christlikeness, not in how we adorn ourselves.

What makes you happy?

Ultimately, knowing God and following Jesus makes me happiest but seeing my daughter fulfilled and having the precious opportunity to love on her four precious babies brings great joy! Also, writing about the things of God and having the opportunity to speak to women makes me truly happy :-)

What is an inspirational quote that resonates with you?

I think more than anything, the 23rd psalm. “He restores my soul” every day and has for more than 30 years!

What was your experience like having a "women with heart" session? 

My session was amazing! Erin made me feel completely at ease and beautiful. Her photos were absolutely perfect and I couldn’t be more pleased! She is a thorough professional creating a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere to help make her clients feel relaxed and happy. She is a gem!
